Dear Shiloh Family,
This past Sunday, we gathered for our annual Covenant Renewal service—a tradition rooted in John Wesley’s 1755 prayer. It was a powerful morning as we explored a shift in how we view our connection to this church.
We are moving away from seeing membership as a "passive possession" or an "entitlement card" for services. Instead, we are embracing a fortified covenant built on four pillars: Spiritual Formation, Worship, Stewardship, and Service.
To put it simply: Church membership isn’t like a store loyalty card we tuck away for occasional discounts. It is more like a marriage vow—a solemn promise that thrives on active presence, mutual investment, and a daily commitment to grow together.
A Season of Grace Please know that this initiative is not about exclusivity or "canceling" anyone. It is a season of grace designed to restore and re-engage our family of faith. When we record these commitments, we believe they are "ratified in heaven," marking an earthly promise that carries eternal weight.
How to Respond If you weren't able to join us on January 4, you can still participate in this milestone moment:
I invite you to make your commitment a top priority for the coming year. It has the power to truly transform your spiritual journey.
Grace and peace,
Pastor Dan
